Property description was accurate. The area for our pups was perfect. It was very safe. We did a bit of cooking and everything we needed was supplied.
The cottage was clean and ready for our visit.
The entire town of Cambria is so dog friendly we were even able to bring them into the shops. The shop owners spoiled them with treats.
We met so many lovely folks both visitors and locals. We enjoyed walks at Fiscalini Ranch , Moonstone Beach, and the elephant seal viewing area.
We took a trip down to Morrow Bay and Paso Robles. Didn’t visit many restaurants because we cooked.
The guest beds could use an upgrade, but overall a wonderful trip. We will definitely visit again.

1801 Downing Cottage is absolutely adorable. The house was stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. The neighborhood is very quiet. Our little dog was happy that he could run around on the deck that surrounds the house. We would definitely stay there again.

My wife and I wanted to get out of the city for a week and there’s only one place we wanted to go. Cambria. It was a late decision, but we went on the CVR website to see what dog-friendly rentals were available. We never stayed at 1801 Downing. It was a good size house for us. The house was in good condition and clean. I would recommend cleaning the inside of the fridge and replacing the very cheap shower curtain in the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable and we loved eating in the dining room looking into the backyard. There are plenty of chairs outside to take in the beautiful weather and our dog was able to move around in the enclosed yard. It was very quiet too. Fiscalini Preserve was a short drive as well as and Main St. We did our usual activities; walk the Preserve, walk the boardwalk along Moonstone Blvd Dr, walking (and shopping) both ends of Main St, eating at Robins and Las Cambritas, and visiting Harmony. Cambria Vacation Rentals was, as usual, very helpful and always friendly.

This is a delightful cottage located in a quiet hillside neighborhood. While it is car dependent to get to shopping and the shore, the streets are wonderful for taking your dog on morning and evening walks. The house is beautifully appointed and impeccably decorated and maintained. The house was spotless and the windows were pristine. I gave four stars for communication because we hadn’t been contacted by our host about check in information. A quick call resolved this and Heidi was very attentive, she even had a bottle of wine for us and a toy for our dog. I would stay here again and be happy to recommend this little jewel box to a friend. The town of Cambria is truly dog friendly with many shops and restaurants welcoming your four legged family member. The Moonstone Boardwalk and Fiscalini Ranch Reserve are a must, scenic with wide beautifully maintained trails. Cambria Nursery and Florist should be a stop for anyone who loves to garden or appreciates a beautiful landscape.

The property is very clean and well maintained at all exterior and interior spaces. Property management provides exceptional service and is able to answer all questions. Heidi is a pleasure to work with. My Mother, and dog Margarita had a wonderful stay and cannot wait to plan our next visit!

The home and property were as described and very cozy. The fenced in property was excellent for our corgi and completely safe. Highly recommend for a couple and their pet.

We enjoyed our stay at Downing! We unfortunately had another property right down the street cancel on us 2 days before we were supposed to check in but Cambria Vacation Rentals came through for us! We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and brought our 2 dogs and infant daughter. The place was plenty large enough for us and our dogs enjoyed the yard. They also enjoyed watching the turkeys walk by. The movie selection was awesome I found about a dozen I'd been wanting to watch. We loved how close it was to town (just far enough), and everything, including Fiscialini Ranch Preserve, was just 5-10 minutes away. CVR was very accommodating with check in and check out, gave us extra fans for the unseasonably warm weather since most places don't have air conditioning, and even sent us away with dog toys and a bottle of local wine (courtesy of the owner). 10/10 Would book again.

Flash (a “Westie”) and I could not have stayed in a nicer place or Cambria location. The cabin could not have been better equipped with the nicest of things. It was super clean. Having a yard was such a nice bonus. Trees, trees, trees everywhere and on one of our morning walks we were greeted by a deer not 60 yards away. There were just the two of us but I could see a family of four enjoying several weeks, or the summer staying in this exceptional cabin. property management was extremely helpful. Be sure to checkout property management operational hours and do not expect easy access to your cell phone.

This Cambria Cottage has a great floor plan indoors and outside. Spacious, well-stocked, and located in quiet neighborhood short drive from town. We watched deer and wild Turkey wander by property. Patios are fenced which was wonderful for our pup. There are many amenities to make you feel at home. The weather was perfect and there are so many fun activity abd places to go in the surrounding area. We look forward to visiting again.

What a great rental! Everything you need and so homie! Very dog friendly and so clean! We had such a great time we will defiantly be back again. It's at such a great location for SO many activities.

We loved our stay at Nottingham! The views and location are amazing, we loved the close proximity to the ocean and to the little park just a block away. We walked to town, relaxed, and just had a great experience. We took daily walks at the nature preserve just a few blocks away; it is absolutely magical! The house was clean and comfortable, the floor plan was great. The kitchen and appliances were one of the best aspects of the home. A couple things to note, some of the blinds were broken, probably from a lot of use, but it would be great if those were fixed and there was no laundry detergent but we bought some so we could use the laundry.

We have stayed at this home multiple times. Each time our experience improves. We are very happy with the new mattresses. We slept soundly to the sounds of the ocean. The location is great by a park and only steps to the beach. We hope to stay here again

Modern, sparkling clean, comfortable. Could have used a few more coffee mugs in the kitchen, but that was a small issue. Third bedroom has murphy bed but it was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.

Blocks from the ocean and the sound of surf in your ears as you fall asleep, what a wonderful stay. . Nice park within an easy walk for the little visitors. I liked the birdwatching on the small creek that flowed into the beach. Several egrets, a swan, and lots more. Best kitchen I've ever cooked in. Would return in a heartbeat

My family and I enjoyed our day. We felt very welcomed at the house. Also when we had call to get help with an appliance you guys were able to send someone to help very quick. Thank you!

Nottingham rental was wonderful! Home was clean and well equipped. Ocean views were amazing and beach access just a short walk down the street. Loved the outdoor space and proximity to everything we wanted to see was perfect!

Two older couples from Southern Ca. went wine tasting in nearby Paso Robles, then spent two days relaxing, walking the area, eating excellent local farmer's market food from a well stocked kitchen, and swilling wine on the deck overlooking the ocean. Delightful weekend!!

We loved staying here and the location couldn't be better. Half block from Shemel Park and the beach and a short walk to the Fiscalini Nature Preserve which is wonderful. Very comfortable for a longer stay, kitchen is fully equipped, sofa and chairs great for lounging. Will miss watching the pelicans and cliff swallows every morning. Laundry was also a great convenience.

I absolutely loved this rental. One of the best I've ever stayed in. Will definitely be back!

Great house and location! Sadly, on New Years day, there were workers right behind the house on a different home, banging and drilling building new stairs. We could not believe the noise, especially on a holiday. That was not the fault of Cambria Vacation Rentals. Just an inconsiderate homeowner. Otherwise everything was wonderful! A great house for the two of us.

My family comes to Cambria every September and usually stay here or another property. This house is always perfect.

I’ve rented numerous properties in Cambria with family and we all agreed this property is one of our favorites. Beautiful upgraded kitchen a joy to cook in. Well stocked. Great location and access to beach and park. Only negative is the small dining area and table. We were a party of 3 so it was okay. We would rent it again.

Wonderful home with a great upstairs common area around the kitchen for gatherings (and ocean views and sounds). Great staff support from Cambria Vacation Rentals. I would absolutely request this property on our next visit.

As always our experience was seamless and enjoyable! We love coming to Cambria and using cambria vacation rentals makes it super easy! We will definitely be back! We had an amazing time as always!

This home is in a wonderful location, just steps to the beach. It was clean and you could hear the waves crashing on the beach. The garage is very small and a tight fit for a larger vehicle. It is unfortunate the most comfortable bed was the Murphy bed in one of the downstairs bedrooms. We would highly recommend the owners replace the bed in the master bedroom!!!!!!

This is a very well-appointed home in a wonderful location. Easy access to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. Nicely decorated and comfortable furnishings. A couple suggestions to take it to a higher level: add a hot tub to the back yard; add some basic kitchen supplies such as a good set of measuring spoons, liquid measuring cups, a few pieces of glass or plastic leftover containers. Also, the master bed has developed a significant high spot in the middle, so would be good to replace.

Very nice property, condition is as nice as the pictures. Kitchen is very well equipped if you like to cook. Great location for ocean views, beach access, and within walking distance to the west village. Only complaint is that the master mattress is not in good shape. For the price of this rental, should be a no-brainer to replace it.

This is a great house to vacation or work from home. Great internet and views of the ocean. Love the location .
