Guest Policies

RESERVATIONS

Reservations are accepted and confirmed with a down payment of $300 – $500 on your Visa or Mastercard at the time of reservation. Your fees will include:

  1. Total Nightly Rent
  2. $40-$60 Processing Fee
  3. Cleaning Fee (see “Cleaning”)
  4. 12.5% Occupancy Tax.
  5. Prior authorization for a dog in one of our “dog friendly” homes is required. There may be an additional charge of $50.

 

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel this reservation, a 60-day notice must be given to refund your deposit (less a $50-$100 cancellation fee). If less than a 60-day notice is given, there will be no refund of the deposit unless the home is re-rented. * No refunds will be given for early departure or fewer guests after the home is already occupied.

 

ARRIVAL & CHECK-IN

Check-in is at the office, from 2:30 to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, and from 2:30 to 4:00 pm Saturdays. Early/late arrivals may be arranged if schedules permit. *Late arrivals must be arranged and paid in full in advance. Sorry, no personal checks and no multiple payments.

 

DEPARTURE & CHECK-OUT

Check-out time is 10:30 am. Always return your keys to the office or a $50 late checkout fee may be charged! The entire rental will then be professionally cleaned for the next guests.*CVR will not be held responsible for any items you leave behind.

 

CLEANING

Each reservation is charged a cleaning fee. The amount depends upon the number of people and the size of the home. Any damages or cleaning in excess of the amount paid will automatically be charged to your credit card.

 

PARKING

Please park in the garage or in the driveway only. Please refrain from parking on the street and especially in front of neighbor's houses.

 

HOT TUBS

Each hot tub is serviced weekly and checked for cleanliness, chemicals, etc. We want you to enjoy our spas so we try to keep them serviced and in good order. We ask that you please remember that they are NOT bathtubs, so please rinse off your dirt and sand before usage. Keep the lid on when not in use for safety as well as to keep the water clean and heated. Since water is of utmost importance right now, please do not splash and displace water. Owners have a strict usage amount of water each month and will pay a premium for using more than their allotment. If we can keep the hot tubs clean, you will be able to continue to use and enjoy them and that is what we like. *Please be conscious of your voices at night and do not use the hot tub after 10:00 pm.

 

PETS

NO PETS shall be kept on or about the premises unless you have previous authorization for one of our “dog-friendly” homes. There may be an additional pet fee, see above. *If unauthorized pets are noted on the premises, you will be asked to leave and your rental amount will be forfeited.

 

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

No guests, including children, in excess of the number specified in your reservation shall occupy the property. Guests in excess of the reserved number will result in immediate termination of the occupancy of the property with no refund of the rental amount.

 

NO GROUPS OR PARTIES

We love our guests but loud or unruly tenants will not be tolerated. All of our homes are located in residential areas and will not be used for weddings, receptions, parties, or any other gatherings or group functions.

 Outdoor activities, special events, and noise are limited in the same way a full-time residence is limited, i.e. a 5-decibel reduction is required from 10 pm to 7 am.

Regardless of the limits, please be aware of your neighbors. They are not on vacation. For example, if you arrive late in the evening, please unload quietly and please always turn off outdoor lights when you are in for the night. If you have any questions or would like a copy of the draft ordinance please call us.

 

FURNISHINGS & SUPPLIES

All homes provide sheets and towels. Please bring your own beach towels etc, as we do not allow inventory to be removed from our homes.

*We provide only an initial supply of paper products and bath soap. If you need additional supplies for your stay, they can be purchased at our local stores.

Please do not move the furniture. It has been arranged at the preference of each owner. * (If you move furniture and do not return it to its original location, you will be charged a fee to have us do so).

 

TRASH

Put garbage in the gray can and recycling in the blue can. View local recycling guidelines here. DO NOT PUT GARBAGE IN THE GREEN OR BLUE CAN. Do not leave any bags of trash outside. If you have overflow, leave it in the garage or bring it to the back of the office and put it in CVR’s dumpster when returning keys at check out.

Recognizing that vacation rentals in residential areas warrant special treatment in the Coastal Zone Land Use Ordinance, the Department of Planning and Building has crafted a Vacation Rental Ordinance, after extensive public input. The requirements set forth in these policies shouldn't infringe on your enjoyment of this outstanding resort town.
