Oct 1 2025 - 8:00am to Oct 31 2025 - 8:00pm

Every October, the villages of Cambria and San Simeon transform into an open-air gallery of handcrafted scarecrows. The Cambria Scarecrow Festival, now a beloved Central Coast tradition, showcases hundreds of imaginative displays along sidewalks, storefronts, and public spaces throughout town. What began in 2009 with just 30 scarecrows has grown into a month-long celebration of artistry, humor, and community involvement.

You’ll see scarecrows dancing, biking, meditating, and even flying—brought to life by local artists, students, shop owners, and volunteers of all skill levels. It’s a one-of-a-kind event that reflects the creative heart of the region while also supporting the next generation of artists through scholarships for local students pursuing arts-related careers.
