Fiscalini Ranch Preserve

Fiscalini Ranch Preserve

The Fiscalini Ranch Preserve is an open space park that is perfect for hikers and those who just love to explore. Enjoy trails and open spaces through the mile worth of oceanfront land. Bikers and riders on horseback are also welcome on the trails. There won't be anything too challenging on the trails so it's great for all skill levels.

Harvey Accessway Beach

In southern Cambria, is this rocky area with sandy beaches mixed that's open to the public. Listen to the waves crash against the rocks or perhaps watch a few seals splashing on the shore. This is a great spot for a relaxing afternoon of soaking up some sun and taking in the beautiful sights.

Lampton Cliffs County Park

Another rocky beach area on the south edge of town, this park offers incredible views and a lot of adventure for those wanting to climb the rocks or observe the beauty of the Pacific Ocean. The waves crash hard against the rocks in this location and it's especially fun to watch during the winter swells. At low tide, take part in the opportunity to go tidepooling!

Moonstone Beach

Experience the ample beach space with the rocky bluffs separating various areas on the beach. This area runs parallel to Highway 1 and contains some of the prettiest views in the area. Take a walk along the Moonwalk Beach Boardwalk to get your steps in and take in the views or just relax on some of the drift logs and rocks at the back of the beach. This spot is great for a romantic picnic or to work on your tan in the summertime.

San Simeon Creek Beach

At the mouth of the San Simeon Creek north of Cambria lies the San Simeon Creek Beach. This wide, sandy beach is perfect for exploring the dunes, wetlands, and driftwood. Bring your camera with you and snap some photos of the birds that gather in the lagoon. There is a wooden boardwalk that weaves its way through the wetlands if you're in the mood for walking or biking and there are two other hiking trails in the area as well.

Shamel Park

If you're looking for a place to relax and recreate with your loved ones, Shamel Park is perfect for you. A county-owned park on the northside of Cambria, large, sandy beach areas are available for public use as well as grassy fields and picnic areas that you can take advantage of. In the summer, a swimming pool opens up here as well so you can make a splash in the water if you don't feel like getting in the ocean.
